The Components of Ascent E3 Framework
The QS E3 Simulation as a Pre-Cursor to Peak Performance
The QS E3 Simulation is a key component in the Ascent E3 approach and is unique to it. The QS in its name refer to Quality and Speed, which are critical to a peak performance operation. There are two different versions of the simulation, one for manufacturing (QS Invent) and one for services (QS Finance).
In the Envision stage – participants will ‘walk through’ a process improvement project in a fictitious company to get a taste of what is in store in Ascent E3. They will share the problems faced by the company and learn techniques for attacking them – which is exactly what they will have to do in the real world when you implement Ascent E3 in your company.
The QS E3 simulation is unique to Ascent E3, and will prepare you for the climb to peak performance
Consulting
Our consultant team will spend time inside your company, working with both internal and external stakeholders to clarify the problems the company may have, and find solutions for them.
But our consultation means more than that. It also includes coaching of the supervisors and managers who are the key people involved in making and maintaining the new operational procedures. And as they take over this new process improvement role, they will need to be mentored to ensure that they are competent, capable and committed to ensure that the changes stick and become part of the organizational DNA.
Training
An integral part of Execution phase of Ascent E3 is the range of techniques that can to be used to solve operational problems. Operating staff will need to learn how to use these techniques, as will more senior operating staff that will be responsible for ensuring the new staff are equally well trained after the process improvement project is over.
Technical training will include statistics and process reengineering using both classroom and on-the-job approaches, and will be complemented by training in how to lead, drive and manage change, as well as project leadership and management.
